Wednesday evening I made two huge No-Bake Peanut Butter Toblerone Cheesecake for Tim's work. Usually there is never anything left over when desserts are taken to his work, but it was so rich that not quite so many people had seconds. That was okay, that meant I got a piece!! =) Joia tried the recipe too, and looked yummy. Check out her blog to see the picture.
Last night was our last week night Bible study at our meeting in St. Thomas. Tim reminded me at the end (I'm glad he didn't mention it at the beginning). We have been studying Acts, and are in chapter 14 right now. Kyla slept the whole time, and Shaelyn and Mika sat quietly reading books. It was nice to be able to sit and concentrate the whole time.
Today is Tim's last day of work. He has been at ETBO Tool & Die almost 10 years (September), and made good friends there. Although we are looking forward to moving to Mexico, it has been harder than we thought to "leave" some things.
Tomorrow morning we leave early to make it to the Sunday School picnic in Oshawa. We will then head up to Minden, to spend a glorious week with Tim's family. We are So looking forward to it! It's kind of nice that we will be able have a cottage vacation as soon as Tim is done. Then the next week we will be with the whole Sharp family! It's going to be great!
This morning we are heading out for Kyla's first year check up. I'm going to get all the girls weighed, as it's been a while. It will be our last visit with our doctor (Lord willing), before we go, and likely ever, as he has MS and will be retiring some time in the near future.
Hopefully I will get a chance to blog in the next couple weeks, but we'll have to see how it goes. There were several verses I enjoyed in my reading this morning, but I'll just share a couple from Psalm 46 - verses 1 and 10, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble." "Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in all the earth."

I realize it has been ages since I wrote on here. Our closing date was last Friday, and everything went pretty well. I was less emotional leaving than I thought I would be. I'm thankful the Lord has allowed us to have this "easy" move, before the big one! So, we are at Phyllis's house, and enjoying not having to pack. We do have our old telephone number here, but don't have our internet yet (I'm using Phyllis's right now). We are supposed to be up and running Wednesday, so I will try to blog all our pictures of moving, etc then!
Tomorrow we are heading to London to order a stroller and maybe get some clothes for the girls. It will likely depend how long Kyla can go without a nap (usually it's about 1 1/2 hours max.!)
We'll be back soon... =)

Picnic at Pinafore park with Lyle and Doris McCandless, Erin St. Clair (and kiddos), Zonya Bergsma (and kiddos) and my Mom.
630am Saturday morning! Yes, that's when people started showing up!
Barbeque at Alan & Gerri Patten's. Lots of fun, really good food, and great friends!

Today we took a bit of a break, and met some friends at the splash pad for lunch. That was nice, except that I got sunburned! All three girls loved splashing, even though the water was cool - and the day was beautiful!
I'm sure many of you have been Very concerned about what will happen to Sarah and Daniel (our goldfish) - however you may all rest easy, as they have found a home with Mika's friends Leah and Rebekah! Do I hear sighs of relief that none of you have been asked to house them?? =)
Tim has been working so long the last couple weeks. Today he left at 5am and got home after 5pm. He got to bed last night around 8pm, thankfully, and has just gone to bed now. The alarm is set for 6am tomorrow, so that will be really sleeping in!
Tomorrow evening after the garage sale there will be a BBQ with some friends out at Alan and Gerri Patten's place. We are looking forward to getting together and visiting with some friends we don't often get to see, and possibly won't see again before we leave for MX.
I've been thinking recently about these few verses below. The one especially that struck me was v. 36, which I have often heard used to speak to people who are not Christians, but they are all so stirring. But hopefully they won't just stir me, but change me. Just thought I'd post them, and pray they will be a blessing to all who read them.
Mark 8: 34-37 "And he (Jesus) called to him the crowd with his disciples and said to them, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it. For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his life? For what can a man give in return for his life?"

Arwyn's birthday party (she wasn't that excited!) =)
Then, out in the boat...
The Sharp Family
These next few are from Leah's birthday party we went to last night. She turned six.
Rebekah & Leah
Shaelyn and James
Okay, we've covered the Cottage and Cake - what's the crusty all about, you ask? Well, that is me today! =) I've heard "No!" (at least 1/2 dozen times), "You don't really know how to put that back together, do you Mommy?" (my response was, "Well, I knew how to take it apart, didn't I?", "First gum, but no lunch! Okay, Mommy!" (Notice there isn't any question mark there!). The list could go on and on - but thankfully I've forgotten most of them. It just hasn't been a very productive day, you could say! Shaelyn has now been out of bed 5 times since she was put down for her nap. It's likely because she isn't sleepy though - I don't know what I was thinking!!! The good thing is, I'm sure the day can only get better from here!! =)
Last, but not least...Happy Canada Day, everyone! Hope it's a great one!
